CARLO CASCONE.
My name is Carlo Cascone and in life I am a surgeon.
I am no longer a boy having been born in 1956.
Photography fills a large part of my free time and has always accompanied my life, allowing me to break the cage of everyday life and allow the spirit to express its creative side.
For two years then I have been in love with the light painting technique. It is a very special genre that requires patience and attention to detail.
In the composition I am often inspired by the northern European painters of the 16th-18th century, for the technique the source of inspiration is the great American photographer Harold Ross who is the undisputed master of light painting.
With my photographic games I like to study the small objects of everyday life discovering their hidden beauty. We are surrounded by beauty, photography teaches us to discover it!
A few years ago I exhibited some of my photos in Rome together with other medical friends with the same passion as me (the exhibition was entitled "objective doctors").
I then did a particular exhibition at the archaeological museum of Anzio (RM), exposing my photos together with my father's paintings (Cascone & Cascone); it was a very emotional experience and my father died a few months later.
