Janet Adebayo Adenike was born on 27 of February 1997 . She attended Federal polytechnic, Ilaro and graduated in 2018. Amidst this, she obtained a diploma in visual arts from the Double G Gallery in 2017. She is a full time painter and her body of works employs the intertwining of several bra straps to form a canvas on which she paints with acrylic paint. Additionally, she gets comissioned work to paint portraits, landscape and life drawing. She started as a pencil artist, painting portraits with pencil and later introducing colour to her works, especially her portraitures and her landscapes. She has executed quite a number of portraits both with pencil and the conventional Oil and acrylic paints. Her decision to paint with bra straps was informed by her love for the creation of wealth from waste.She is a private advocate of waste recycling because of her ground knowledge on waste management and has attended programmes on waste and recycling, so bra strapping is a beautiful knowledge that came to her mind.. She has drastically evolved in the use of bra straps as a medium in painting and she plans to continue experimenting, looking forward to where it takes her in the future. Janet derives her inspiration from love, music and her daily interaction with people. She pictures all her paintings in her mind and get a reference to support her invention and this helps her to fully plan her work to the extent of giving them titles before starting to paint. Janet's paintings have been exhibited nationally including the ArtLove Expo, 2019 at the bedmate showroom, Lekki, Lagos State.
